One of my friends that I met while Abby and her daughters were in the NICU makes homemade outfits, headbands, toys and mony other fun things. While checking out her blog (kindershop.blogspot.com) one day I saw this really adorable skirt and thought how fun it would be to make a couple for the girls. They were a lot of fun and I went the extra mile and made them matching t-shirts and headbands. My mind is already racing on what to make next. Christmas will be so fun this year with the plans I have for them! =)
Have I told you how much fun it is to have girls?!?

Redner Talent Show

On Friday, April 17th, Jake participated in the Annual Redner Talent Show. He played three songs on his saxophone. Au Clair de la Lune, Donkey Round and Let's Go Blue. He did a great job. I admire my children's bravery. They never hesitate to be involved in things because of their shyness. They sure have a lot more courage at that age than I did. Way to go, Jake!

Finger Painting Day
I am the type of Mom that doesn't usually do play-dough and finger painting projects. They are just way to messy for me. Well over Spring Break I decided to let the 3 little kids do it. I know, many of you are asking why? I decided that they are missing out on some of the crafts and stuff their older brothers did. (Back when I was a more adventurous Mom.)
Well it turned out to be quite a successful activity. Caleb has always been quite artistic so I wasn't worried about him. Clarissa is a neat freak. She doesn't even like water on her sleeves when she washes her hands, so I wasn't' worried about her either. My worry was with ABBY! Anything simple with Abby quickly turns into a disaster. You name it and she can figure out a way to make a mess out of it! I guess you could say she keeps life interesting. Even Abby surprised me and she stayed clean. Since this was a huge success with all those involved, there is a high percentage that I will do it again!

Another Loose Tooth!!
We can hardly believe it, Caleb has lost his second tooth! On Monday, April 13th there was nothing different about the tooth, but by Tuesday night it was ready to come out. So true to tradition, Matt got the pliers, Caleb grabbed a towel and I grabbed the camera. Caleb was so excited to be loosing another tooth. We can't believe how fast they are coming our either. I guess it is only another sign that he is growing up. . . too fast!!

Happy Easter!!
What a great time of year! I think this is my favorite season. I love the colors of this time of year. I love to watch the green leaves of the flowers come out of the ground. I love to see the trees start to get their new leaves, the signs of life in general. This is all symbolic of new life and why we celebrate Easter. Isn't it great to know that we have an elder brother who loves us so much that he was willing to die for us and was then resurrected? What a great gift we have been given!

Yesterday we had the great opportunity to have an Easter egg hunt at our friends, Julie and Mark's. Julie was so excited to have the kids over to hunt for the eggs. She was to surprised at how fast they found the eggs. When the kids found all the eggs, they got the chance to rehide them again, empty, of course for the adults to find. The boys hid them really well. I still thing there is one somewhere in their yard. I'm sure they will find it while they do yardwork this summer. =) Clarissa and Abby loved picking up the eggs that were on the ground for them. Thank you Julie for having us over and hosting an egg hunt for my kids.
