Scrapbook Mania

When Danny went off to Scout Camp, I set a goal for the week. Since I had not scrapbooked any of his Cub Scout years (or Jake and Aaron's for that matter), I wanted to get some layouts done. I have been wanting to do this for quite awhile now so I had lots of scout sticker, paper and some fun ideas. I started with developing all the pictures I would need from May 2005 to current. That took a day in itself with all the interruptions! Once developed, I sorted my pictures by month and pack meetings. Since I was doing this for Danny, I figured I might as well make up the same pages for the other 3 boys as well. So instead of just making 3 different layouts to cover the 3 years worth of Pinewood Derbys, I made 12. I did this for all the pack meetings that had a big event at them. I also made pages for all the ranks they can earn in Cub Scouts. I know, some of you must think I am crazy, but it will be so nice to have all this work done and so much easier when the other boys go through these events. When Caleb turns 8 and starts earning his badges, I will only have to develop the pictures and put them on the already made pages.

This past Saturday, July 11th, I took the pages I had already designed and in about 7hours, finished 30 pages!!! I am excited to say that I only have 3 layouts in Danny's Cub Scout years to finish, Jake two layouts,Aaron's is all caught up, Caleb has all of his layouts for his Cub Scout years already made!! I am so excited. I do still have the boys Cub Scout Day Camp's to do, but after accomplishing this huge feat, this will be cake. If I can keep this up, my boys might have finished scrapbooks when they graduate from high school. =)
